Prestige Newspaper honours 4 journalists, LOGPAN BoT, national PPRO, VIO boss, Education Commissioner

Four journalists along other distinguished professionals were decorated on Sunday, 4th of December, 2022 during the Thirty-first year anniversary of the Ogun State based media outfit; Prestige Newspaper, held at the NUJ Ogun State Council Secretariat, Iwe-Irohin, Oke-Ilewo, Ibara, Abeokuta.

According to the proprietor, Mr Dada Olanipekun, the awardees were honoured for their diligence and resounding success in chosen careers, adding that the award was sponsored by a former Head of Service, Princess Iyabo Odulate Orebowale in a bid to encourage the Press to do more.

Other awardees were BoT member of the Local Government Pensioners Association of Nigeria in Ogun State, Chief Ayinla Awojobi (Outstanding Secretary of the Year – LG Unionism), the Police Force Public Relations, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi (Man of The Year, Public Relations), Commissioner for Education, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu (Best Commissioner of the Year), Ogun State Commissioner for Forestry, Engr Oludotun Taiwo (Most Assessable/Responsive Politician of the Year), Ogun State Commander Vehicle Inspection, Engr. Ademehin Olugboyega Adewale (Man of The Year “Vehicle Inspection), Abeokuta Club (Most Distinguished Club of the Year),

Prince Olaniyi Olatidoye and other five were decorated as Lifetime Achievers.

Speaking moments after he received the award, the Police National Spokesperson, CSP Adejobi enjoined every Nigerian to be nurturing friendly relationship with Police officers in the country.

“We want to appeal to Nigerians to always cooperate with Police personnel wherever they see them and those at the patrol; always respect them because “respect is reciprocal”.

If you respect them, they will respect you.

“Whenever you see them talk to them. Show love, don’t hate them”, Adejobi implored.

The LOGPAN BoT member was flanked by the State Chairman, Pastor Benedict Ademoye who led other members of the executive to the event.

Earlier, guests in the audience were given valuable and timely hints on the best way to handle health related matters.

Professor Samuel Oluwalana and wife, both of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) charged Nigerians to look inward to nature to solve terminal health challenges; cancer, diabetes, HIV/AIDS. rt cetera.
