Markets women, Community leaders, seek Govt support for NCCEVEC.

The Ogun state citizens; market women, community leaders, and chieftains of local governments have urged Ogun State Government to throw its weight behind the National Community Ethics and Value Environmental Compliance Corps, (NCEVECC) considering the impacts of the NGO on issues of environmental and ethics correction in the state.

The recommendation of the NGO to the state government was followed by the awareness tour held by the state Commander, Johnson Onilu, that lasted three days in all the Senatorial Districts of Ogun state.

Onilu, while speaking with journalists, stated that the awareness tour was to ascertain if the men of NCEVECC are delivering their job as directed of which the Corps is happy about the recommendation so far from the general public.

“At NCEVECC, we are working with communities and with OGWAMA, presently to create awareness because it will be unfair to our people to start seeing men in uniform without having to know them and what they do. Hence the reason for our tour, and we are happy that everyone recommended our men to be good.

Our major concern is to control ethical issues, improper dressing, drug addiction, rapping, and indiscriminate dumping of refuse, as you can see that there’s no respect anymore, hence it become imperative to revamp our cultural virtues and change people’s orientation for better”, Onilu explained

He further stressed that there is a cordial relationship between NCEVECC and other security agencies in the state, adding that during the tour, a courtesy visit was paid to the CEO of parking Controller in Ogun state, Eng Wale Yusuf.

“Our relationship with other agencies is cordial, and they are all happy with what we are doing. We have gone round the communities to know much about our men, and the recommendations were impressive.

He also urged people to comply with State regulations, imploring people of Ogun State to develop the spirit of making use of public toilet, drainage, good road provided by government.

In the same development, the training Commander of NCEVECC, Ogun state Command, Usman Adams, noted that, the NGO was happy to have gotten commendation from the three Senatorial Districts in the state.

“We are here to amends and ameliorate deteriorating values in Nigeria, as our name implies, National Community Ethics and Value Environmental Compliance Corps (NCEVECC)”, Adams retairated.

RazorTimes further reports that the visited areas includes, Ilaro market, Sagamu, Abeokuta, while courtesy visit were made on Prince Gboyega Isiaka (GNI), and CEO of Parking Controller in Ogun State, Engr Wale Yusuf.
